This question more deals with 'what age do you want to retire' VS. 'how much would you retire with' as many of us could work til 55+, retire 'early', and have $1-3 million-through compound interest.

But I am NOT one of them. I am choosing to retire by age 40 over retiring at age 50, even though I could have ALOT more money, because I want my FREEDOM!

I don't know about many of you, but after food, clothes, shelter, and transport, well, I don't 'need' that much stuff. Yes-I've had alot of 'stuff' in the past but 'the more stuff you have, the more stuff you have to worry about'.

If you need to maintain a certain 'lifestyle' so be it-My 'lifestyle' comes from the JOY of deciding what I want to do, or not do, each day.
