This war has really made me shake my head about where this country is headed.... What gets me are the folks who seem to want to celebrate like this was a football game, and we won.

War is a game! Although, granted, it was a better game when opponents were more evenly matched --in terrain, power, or leardership--then, in the field of battle, strategy and tactics actually made some difference.

The '91 Gulf War changed everything. It was then that air power became the trump card and consequently made all tactical weapons --including chemical and biological-- obsolete. And with nuclear weapons still being suicidal, the better air force will inevitably win the war. It's as simple as that.

The problem with war today, and the real sad part of the whole deal, is that the only way that a non-air power, whether a country or an ideology, can avoid losing is to target, terrorize, and blackmail the civilian population of their stronger opponent.

The same weapons that are useless in the battlefield are now, more than ever, idespensable to our enemies to use in our cities.

Solution 1:

One world Socialist government.

Equal opportunity and justice for all.

Ban all religious teachings and Fox News.

Institute a policy racial inter-breeding.

or,

Solution 2:

Lose our freedom and, occasionally, a city.

And, by all means necessary, keep playing the same stupid war game and keep pretending that the warrior is the hero and the peacemaker is the traitor.

Oh yeah... I'm all for the IWC too. ;)
