This would depend on your custodian. You may not contribute more than 100% of your earned income for the year. If your earned income was only $1000, that would be all you could contribute. If it is OK with the custodian, you could open an account for that amount. Someone a while ago asked about $15, and that is certainly stretching it! Best wishes, Chris
