Those fishing jobs today advertise $10K-$30K, while the cost of my alma mater is $48K NOT including books, supplies, etc.

I always see figures and think WTF?!? What kind of school are people going to? One CRNA (certified nurse anesthetist) that I work with is about to send her kid to TCU for $40k/year. For a degree in fashion design. Good luck getting your money back on that.

My alma mater, full tuition is $5K/year (it was $1200 when I went 83-87). And not to disparage anyone's school, but my degree/education stacked up against plenty of "ivy league"/big name places.
