Those idiots didn't finish what they agreed to do.Exactly, those jerks got what they deserved. Laurie was referencing a conversation she had IN ADDITION to the conversation we saw on TV. The talk they had in which we saw Laurie giving them instruction was more then clear about what work had to be finished for the next day. The thing is his rational was awful. "I thought it would be quick" and "I did not understand what faux finish meant." Great, then why didn't you ask before she left? The designers leave their phone numbers in case of an emergency too. I won't even mention the fact that they only painted one coat on the TV stand. I realize I am the guy who always comes to the designer's defense but there is a reason for that. The premise of the show is understood by 98% of the owners before they go on the show. I would say it was also safe to assume that 90% of the owners know the hijinks and personality of the designers. With all that in mind, why should we have any sympathy for the owners? The designers are artists, and each one of their rooms is like a work of art that they want to represent what they can do. Now if a homeowner does not even live there and is messing with the vision that you have created as a representation of yourself then what are you going to do? You are going to get nasty. Hildi said it best when she said, "If the homeowners knew what they wanted then we wouldn't be here." That is the best way to put it. Therefore, the homeowners need to stop being such little weenies and suck it up, do what they are told and try to have fun. -a (not affiliated or working with any of the designers)
