Thx. Jim,

I've been trying to do the comparisons you suggested but can't seem to find enough data online--

I suppose if I want to evaluate at that depth I will have to pull up all the annual reports for the past 10-15 years and do calculations manually---unless someone can suggest a good source for such insurance company data online--?? (Maybe I could call Investor Relations and get it?)

I did find a slide show created by Hartford with lots of graphs comparing 15 to 20 P & Cs and those graphs aren't especially complimentary to MKL's standing in the categories--so I continue to be curious.

You mention that you make a few specific exceptions to your 'avoid insurance' rule--and I wonder what they might be? I'm thinking they are MKL and BRK?

I have BRK, CINF and AFG.

Thx again. Jay
