Time for a fat tax.

No, not on the food. If I want a Twinkie or a donut, I should be allowed to have one with no penalty. Let the out of shape pay the price.

So I have a simple proposal: mandate body fat % checks 2x a year (using either calipers or a dunk tank). For every point you're above 22% for a man or 30% for a woman, you get a percentage point tacked on to your effective tax bracket rate - whatever that rate is - up to a maximum of 5%.

This tax is completely under your control. Don't want to pay it? Get off the couch. It's also completely progressive: rich fatties pay a lot more.
