Time has eased my grief somewhat and I must say, with my daughters and grandchildren and dogs I am a happy lady even though I do miss my best friend. I kept my house and 5 acres..which I take care of myself. I guess I have become a tough old broad!

You sound a lot like me! I was widowed in 96, still miss him dearly, but have become settled and happy with life as it is. All of my kids and grandkids are out of state, but we keep in close touch and visit when we can. I have two great dogs who've become the absolute best companions, and a little over an acre which I also tend myself. So make that TWO tough old broads :)

As far as finances, my main goal at this point is making my money outlive me..hehehe...not always easy to do. It's been great finding the FOOL and benefitting from the experience of others. I read your profile....a dog lover too, huh?
