Hope I am not repeating a question already answered (I did try to search, honest), but . . .

Has anyone heard anything about when certain types of food should be eaten (e.g. proteins vs. carbohydrates)? I am getting into an exercise routine where I am running every other evening for about 25 minutes on the treadmill and then doing pushups and situps.

Does it make sense to try to have a higher protein meal for supper before I work out? Is breakfast a good time for carbohydrates, since I will have all day to burn them? Am I micromanaging and should I instead just think about my all day consuption?

Any comments or resources would be appreciated.
