Today was Cub Scout Fun Day at our council's campground (it's called Camp Munhacke) about 25 miles NW of Ann Arbor by road. We were there for six hours. My son fished, shot BB guns, crossed a rope bridge, did some soap carving and shot off water bottle rockets, amongst other things. We saw five of the six boys in his Tiger Cub pack there. It's a nice facility, the only bad parts were the latrines, outhouses basically. I walked more today than I have in years probably! It was a ton of fun though.

There is a five-mile hike there on October 20th, but I can't go as that is the same day as the Moo-U (Michigan State) vs. Michigan game at the Big House so I have to work of course. Bummer, but there will be other five-mile hikes I'm sure!

The other bummer was that the camp store wasn't open. I don't know why not, a bunch of parents wanted to buy stuff but no dice. They could have made a mint! I wanted a hat myself. There's always the Internet I guess, but it just isn't the same. I did get to wear my Tiger Cub t-shirt I got for less than $10 (including shipping!) on eBay, so I was stylin'!
