TMF's FOOLX holding of Monsanto precluded me from becoming a charter investor in that mutual fund. I understood MON's appeal to Bill Mann III: The wide moat (IP portfolio) and the ability to protect it.

According to Morningstar as of today, MON is not in the top 25 holdings of FOOLX (and TMFGX and TMFEX), but TMF could still be holding positions.

I suspect that MON no longer appears as a top 25 holding not because Bill could no longer stomach Monsanto's virulent and malignant behavior, but for some other reason - margin erosion, e.g. After all, MON still rates a CAPS rating of 4, so we in Alyce Land are in the definite minority.
