Wow! This is the third post so far this month. This board is starting to wake up! In response to BoyBird, I suspect the recent run up and decline are both due to earnings announcements. If you click over to the "news" section for UG, you will see two press releases. The one on 3-13 announced a 48% increase in earnings. This is quite good and probably spurred the increase. But if you look at the more recent 5-08 new release, the most recent quarter was essentially flat, increasing only 2%. I think you can get another sense of what is going on if you go to the financials link for this stock, since 1997, the March quarter for this stock has produced earnings of:0.03, 0.06, 0.08, 0.13 in 2000 and now 0.13 in 2001. So the question is, is this just a temporary halt to the increase in EPS or, has the company reached a plateau? Will earnings next March also end up at 0.13 or will they resume the historic upward trend. You have to do your own due diligence and invest accordingly.
