To get to the tennis club, I usually ride my scooter the 20 miles each way to save gas. However, I used to only ride the scooter if the weather was absolutely perfect with no threat of rain. Even if it was windy or cold, I would be a wimp and take the car. Since gas prices went over $4, I put the winter liners back into my riding jacket and pants. Now, even if it's sprinkling outside here (it does that a lot here in Oregon), I ride the scooter anyway! I go to the club about 4-5 times a week, so it's a pretty big deal if I can use my scooter. Unfortunately, this strategy won't work when it's truly winter outside. :(CG
