To paraphrase: "No one's going to want to edit video on their computer. It's too hard. Apple doesn't get it."

Well Daddy got a DV camcorder for Christmas.

Why do people think it is too hard????

I downloaded iMovie, and made quickTime video just from stills, and
Now I can actually edit live video. I still have the old free release.
And now that I see how it works with a real camera, It is too easy!

I just started live video editing tonight! After only using iMovie with
stills, I had little idea what would be in store when using a real video
stream. It is actually easier! Looks like I will be buying the upgraded
version, and likely a bigger hard disk in the near future.

My cousin is a professional cameraman. He just got a PC solution and
a DV camera for home use this year, since his brother got him " a good deal."
It wil be interesting to see what software/camera
he will be using. And if I show him iMovie, how it compares to his setup.

Anyway I am really impressed with the ease of use of iMovie.
