I started with Motley Fool a few years ago, hoping to gain insight and develop a good strategy for investing for our future. Unfortunately, I have gained very little. I scour Fool.com for information routinely, read every newsletter and try to make my best decision based on the information David and Tom's gives me. I should qualify that last statement by saying I do not have infinite money, I have very little in fact. I try to invest ~$500/month, its not much, but it is something.
Being young I am hoping I can build something for my family and me, but its not really working out.
Don't laugh, here is where I am now:
Symbol Qty Last Change Mkt Val Gain(%) AAPL 2.00 431.144 11.094 862.29 -24 AIG 88.00 38.25 0.18 3,366.00 -9 BAC 100 11.55 0.14 1,155.00 69 CGR 300.00 0.4 0.0131 120 -82 F 230 12.87 0.12 2,960.10 17 FMCC 2000 0.3397 0.0427 679.4 22 FNMA 1200 0.3179 0.0269 381.48 44 GLW 50.00 12.52 0.14 626 -13 PANL 84 32.62 0.7 2,740.08 20 SVU 120.00 4.05 -0.05 486 -28 WETF 110 9.15 0.06 1,006.50 28.35
Maybe this is to much info to share, I am trying to be open and honest because I am looking for help. I do use the Motley Fool Newsletter I receive every month. I usually try and buy what Tom and David recommends, or I buy more of what I have already.
Tom, David, Is there any help for me here? If the newsletter isn't what I should be using, what is? I don't have infinite money, I pay a lot already for your services, do I need to spend more?
A side note: Almost everyday Motley Fool sends me some spammed advertisement for the best thing since sliced bread email investment strategy. I literally can't wade through the level of crap I am getting.
Regards,
