Tongue in cheek noted ... I AM a farmer and absolutely hate the government programs. They help hold DOWN the commodity prices because the trade KNOWS the gov't. support prices and trade around those prices instead of true supply and demand. And when prices DON'T rise, the farmer plants MORE crop (causing more supply) in order to receive more gov't. moneys. Well, maybe this tire thing will use up more surplus corn. Six years ago, I quit raising corn and soybeans and now raise only high quality alfalfa and sheep ... neither of which is traded on the NYSE. Let's pray the gov't. doesn't try to "help" the stock trader!
