Hey All,I recently had my teeth whitened, and the whitening system was made by Rembrandt. They include a little package at the end that has tooth whitening toothpaste, whitening mouthwash, and breath drops from Rembrandt. I took a look at the toothpaste, and although Rembrandt seems to specialize in whitening, I'm not sure its any different than any other brand of whitening toothpaste. It has .15% potassium ion as its active ingredient, which is the exact same active ingredient as my Colgate toothpaste with whitening.Does anyone know if toothpastes really differ, or is my intuition correct and they're the same? I checked drugstore.com and found that the Rembrandt toothpaste is ounce for ounce about 7 times the cost of regular toothpaste.I'm going to ask my dentist this next week at my followup, but even though I trust them they obviously have a business relationship with Rembrandt so I'd appreciate other opinions. Also, I'm wondering if electric toothbrushes really clean your teeth better than a regular toothbrush. Thanks!
