I'm not NEW NEW, but I'm newer in the stock market. The majority of urge long term buy and hold investing. Others say that people lose money by keeping stocks forever and holding on to their favorites. Then there is swing trading. I understand swing trading. But Tom and David are for long term. They seem to suggest never selling? I guess the idea of never selling is that some stocks may fizzle but the ones that take off, will outweigh any losses from the stocks that went under. Then there is buying... then when it goes up in a couple years, sell. What is the best? Why the different opinions?
