I sent an e-mail to Buyandhold expressing my dissatisfaction with the new fees. I asked them to waive the account transfer fee because of the "bait-and-switch" they have essentially pulled. I informed them that I would be posting their response to this board. Here is the response:

Thank you for using BUYandHOLD.

Thank you for your feedback regarding the change in our fee structure. It is unfortunate that you are not pleased and would like to discontinue your relationship. Please understand that this fee increase is a necessary evil that will allow us to keep improving the level of service at BUYandHOLD. In the coming months, we plan to rollout many new features including: an additional trading window, the ability to choose the window you wish to trade in, stock baskets, and much more!

BUYandHOLD continues to be the firm geared toward the long-term investor. We believe in a financial strategy of dollar-cost averaging and diversification of your portfolio. We are still one of the best, and one of the cheapest. This pricing change is a requirement so we can continue our operation and increase our services that the long-term investor wants. These new plans are priced to execute that strategy.

Please be advised that we will agree to waive the $25.00 transfer fee, however, you will need to send a letter, referencing my name, Stacy Koeppel, to BUYandHOLD Securities Corp, 77 Water Street, 6th Floor, NY, NY 10005. I would suggest that you include the letter with the transfer form, so that it is available upon your transfer request.
