My fiance' tried to consolidate all his debt onto one low-interest cc. They wouldn't go for it. They said he was denied due to too many inquiries on his credit (he's been applying for other cards to consolidate!), and because he has too much credit already. The thing is, he wanted to AXE the credit he already has by getting this card that no one will give him!

He has called his cc companies and a few have dropped their rates, but some of them won't. I guess they KNOW they don't have to, in his case.

Any other suggestions?! We'd love to get all the debt onto one big card with low interest. My instincts tell me to lay low for awhile, though, so that all those inquiries go away.
