Wouldn't it be great if there was a system in place where you had to prove in some way that you are savvy enough to handle credit.

Of course, this isn't a feasible idea, but for me it's just one of the strange curiosities of society.

It's amazing to me that someone without income can receive a credit card.

It's also odd, imo, that one has to prove he/she can drive before getting a license, but yet anyone can be a parent without having to prove anything.

An 18 year old can have a credit card, but not a beer. For that matter, I remember when boys could go to war, carry guns, etc. but weren't allowed to vote.

Okay, I'm rambling here, and while I hate the thought of more government regulation and interference, I have to wonder if sometimes things just aren't screwed up.

...but I still am...
