for some reason turbo tax will enter the sale in sever places and by the time I was done it had the forms either entering things 2x or more.

this has been a pain in the neck. I finally did a work around by doing the following:

1) deleting current working copy.
2) starting over
3) importing last years data
4) entering only the k1 first that have sales on them.
5) then entering the 1099 from the broker.

so far this has worked but I always notice that the program does not fill in the Items of part II on the k-1 forms.

any one else run into this problem? the turbo web site has such a complicated work around I got lost.
