hi, everyone.

did anyone use turbotax and/or turbotax for the web to do their ny state tax return?

i dutifully entered my w2 withholding information during the first phase of tax return preparation.
my federal return seemed to be correct, but my ny state return had a BIG problem: the nyc withholding information was not transferred from the w2 section to my ny state return! instead of getting a smalll refund, turbotax incorrectly calculated that i owed ny (for nyc) $4500!

i alerted turbotax to what i thought was a bug via their "bug report" option on their website...a week later i received an auto-reply that stated that they were working on the problem and that they would get back to me...they got back to me, and offered me a 900 number to discuss the problem!

when i mentioned the bug to my colleagues, one of them said that she had done her ny state return with the stand-alone turbotax product...guess what...she has the same bug on her return.

so, anyone else use turbotax to do their ny state return?

thanks.
