<<I enjoy and learn from this board, but it seems to me much of the emphasis is (probably correctly) on investing for retirement as contrasted with investments during retirment.

There comes a time when individuals either lack the motivation or the ability to evaluate equities, actively manage their investments, etc. In today's market stock dividend rates seem rather low (probably because prices are high)and bonds and CDs have zero inflation protection.

I recognize there are many different needs/wishes which could include leave money to others, live exclusively off income, spend both income & principle, etc.

If there is another board that is more appropriate for this issue, please direct me there.>>
