After an update to Thunderbird installed today, I cannot access my email. Prior to the upgrade, I had to enter a password before downloading emails. After the upgrade, the box to enter the password does not display. Attempting to download emails just hangs, and hangs, and hangs . . .

I am unable to find anything in the options or account settings regarding passwords other than about a master password to remember other passwords, which I did not have and do not want. I have searched for a solution to this, without success so far.

Thanks if anyone can give me a hint on what to do. It's quite likely I'm missing something obvious. :)
