Unfortunately, I must disagree. Yesterday, I had been requested to notarize a marriage certficate for a young Muslim couple (from Morrocco). The parents and the couple were absolutely lovely and devine hosts. We discussed the state of political affairs, and I discovered that the Mom, Dad and daughter are all citizens and are very proud of that fact. The groom (it was an arranged marriage)is going to apply for his Green card and then citizenship. Fortunately, Columbia, SC (per the Mom and Dad) has welcomed them with open arms and they feel very safe here, even with all the rednecks.I was referred to this couple by another Muslim couple I married in 2007. Mom and Dad informed me that as a group, the Muslims (just as is my experience with the Asians in our community) always refer their friends to certain people for certain services. I am proud to be on their list. And, I am very proud of our community.Donna
