Unfortunately, the blame is on you. One month I and the credit card companies would accept but 3-4months (usually that long before they cancel the cards). Pay what you can. Being paid once a month isn't that bad.

To better manage your cards and other bills, get a bill paying service. My bank, Bank One charges $4.95 but it is worth it and I have never had a problem. Other banks are free. If you know you get paid on the 15th of the month Call all your bills up (credit cards, utilities, mortgages, etc., etc.) and ask them to move your payment date to the 6th of the month. Set up reoccurring payments in the bill pay system to pay w, x, y, & z on the 28th of the month. They are then mailed out and hit your bank around the 2nd.
You don't bounce checks since they don't hit your bank until after payday, you pay all your bills up front.
