From: Kathryn Message Below From Union County Animal Control Facebook Page ****EMERGENCY SITUATION IN UNION COUNTY****
As all of you know UCAC is a very small facility! A man is in jail for quite some time on charges not related to this situation... he has somehow over time acquired MANY MANY cats. This property is very rural and secluded and from what ACO's have seen there is easily 100 ...cats roaming around. Owner has signed surrender forms on cats. UCAC has currently brought in 20 of these cats so far. WE NEED HELP!!! Several cats may have kittens and some of the area they are in is dense and thick with weeds. cages are full and all transport crates are just about all full with bringing in the cats. Heres what is NEEDED....
#1 People needed to help catch cats #2 crates and cages #3 Lots and lots of cat food #4 RESCUES TO HELP!!!! Rescues that can help taking in some each would be HUGE!!! #5 RESCUES TO TAKE WHAT IS CURRENTLY IN THE ALBUM TO MAKE MORE ROOM!!! #6 Money donations $$$
All cats being brought in are having to be housed away from the cats inside to keep track of each cat. There is no room at all inside the building for these ones being brought in. With a surrender form signed and no room they need to be moving immediately. This man appeared to have been a collector, as all breeds, shapes and sizes are noticed on the property. Without help, there is little hope for any of these cats! ACO's are asking for HELP HELP HELP!!!!!
If you can help with any of the current needs.... Please contact UCAC # 618-833-4915 and leave a detailed message including call back # or email ucac2011@yahoo.com Thank you!
