Unless required by a job move, or a neighborhood that is quickly deteriorating, moving "over" makes no sense. It costs too much to repair the current house, pay a realtor, pay the taxes, and then to move, let alone closing costs on the NEW home. How about being tired of hearing gun shots in the neighborhood? Reason to move over? That's really why I want to move but we don't need a bigger house or a bigger mortgage. It is an up and coming neighborhood but it is also in a city.
