Up until a couple of years ago, I had a laptop that I took when we traveled, and at home, we hooked it up to a bigger monitor and wireless keyboard. I'd almost forget it was really a laptop at home, since what I was seeing/using 90% of the time was what I'd be seeing if it were a desktop.

We have a desktop, iPad (mostly for the car), huge laptop that's not so great for traveling but good for using from the recliner, a netbook that's several years old but still chugs away. I haven't used it in quite a while but it still boots up (it's Windows XP).
