Her biopsy today went better than expected--the vet was able to remove the entire tumor with good margins, so there is hope he "got it all". She did well with the anaesthesia so while she was under he removed 7 rotten teeth. She came home with a plastic funnel on her head, called an Elizabethan collar. She does not like it at all, but the vet emphatically does not want her messing with her sutures. She has figured how to eat with the thing in place and I hope she will be able to find a comfortable position in which to sleep!

So many thanks for your prayers and good wishes!

Her blood work was fine apart from an elevated white count. Could it indeed have been infection rather than cancer? The results of the path sample are expected next week.

Best wishes, Chris

Somewhat relieved!

glad things went well at the vet, Chris......they do make flexible collars so if she has problems with it, maybe this other type would help.

blood work does fluctuate....my chemo dog's does anyway.
