Does anyone know if funds in a 529b plan can be used for an online education? I can't find any specific information about this including from the site. I'm sure they need to be accredited in some capacity but I can't find anything. For example, could the funds be used for an accredited school like

Who would I go to for an actual answer on this? The school or IRS?

Given many schools will be online in the future I don't want to save in a 529b only to find it can't be used for an online education down the road should my child choose to go that route.

Thanks for any feedback!
