Usually companies that merge or companies that change 401K providers have similar options. Most have a S&P index fund, a Large Cap fund, an International fund, a Small Cap fund, and a Balanced fund.

At some point you will probably be given the opportunity to fill out a transfer form to select your options with the new provider, as well a how to direct your new money contributions.

Since you are the victim of a merger, your HR dept may be holding informational meetings. If they do dont miss the opportunity to express your concerns. Remember you can never assume that your concerns are being addressed. Do not miss opportunities to speak up.
