Back in the spring of 1999 I started reading TMF as I was getting interested in investing. One of the first investments I made was in the megapharmaceutical company, Pfizer. In the midst of the discussions we were joined by a very opinionated poster (MBAnotguesses) who was certain that we were all stupid (links below). At the time, nelis posted a brilliantly funny message (http://boards.fool.com/Message.asp?mid=10797292) that reminded me why I read the boards: 1) it's a learning environment where no one person is the Master, 2) it shows that investing doesn't have to be boring, and 3) TMF members can be really funny.
