Very good advice. If you like the performance of your investments, stick with them. I have to tell you, I have done a lot better in my mutual funds than in my own personal stock picks. Maybe I should just go with all mutual funds.

Nah, that wouldn't be fun.

Now, having said all that, there is definitely an argument that can be made for index funds. If you just want to put the money away and forget about it, these are ideal. There's never a management change, there's never a change in goals, and so on. You can put your investments on autopilot with these guys.

If you don't mind keeping on top of your mutual funds, though, then I would suggest actively managed funds. It's kind of fun to find a winner.
