Very nice picture. Bought a LG BP620 Blu-ray player today to hook up to my LG42LS5700 LED LCD HDTV. Good thing I bought the HDMI cable on-line for $9.99. Best Buy wanted $59.99 for a HDMI cable - ouch. Now I have to screen some of my DVDs to see how much their picture is improved by the Blu-ray player.

Mike’s Blu-ray player is at http://www.lg.com/us/blu-ray-players/lg-BP620-blu-ray-dvd-pl...

Just make sure, Mike, the player’s resolution output is set to 1080p. Your DVDs are at 480 and the player’s upscaling will bring this up to 1080 and you’ll be most pleased with the result.

Is the new player connected via an amp or direct into the TV?
