Hey, I've posted this before, so please excuse the duplication. I was just having trouble finding it buried in that other thread and I like to send others to it. Thanks for your tolerance.

Here are the things I do for friends that come in to ski from out of state:

1) Pick them up at DIA.

2) Put them up at my house. I have a guest room with two twin beds in it. I also have three bloodhounds that live downstairs. That's where the TV is.

3) Feed them. I like beef, myself. Builds muscle.

4) Drive them up the hill when I am going. Mostly on weekends, but sometimes other days.

5) Ski with them at their level as long as I can bear it. This is a very selfish problem that I have, but I'm working on it. I am taking up snowboarding this year, so I'll definitely be on groomed runs part of the time.

6) Locate the best prices on lift tickets and equipment. I am really good at this too. That's one of the reasons I'm publishing a ski report.

Now here are the things that I think my friends should do:

1) Pay the toll for going to DIA and back.

2) Be nice to my dogs. They are lemon brains.

3) Buy beer.

4) Pay for some of the gas for the car. We all know what's happened to gas prices.

5) Come to Colorado to ski. There are better places to party, like Houston or something. Your skill level does NOT matter. Everyone was a never-ever once. It's a personal journey.

6) Pay for your own lift tickets and equipment.

One last thing, everyone riding with me needs to be ready to go and in the car by 6:00 AM. I have this down to a fine art and I get really annoyed when I get stuck in traffic. Having separate cars and/or going in on a condo in Summit County solves this problem.

I guess I should also make an ammendment to 5) above. I like to party at the end of a day of skiing. I just try to get in bed at a decent hour so I'll be rested up for the next day. Also, skiing with a hangover sortof sucks, so I try not to drink too much.

Miriam
...let's go play...
