You will wait along time for an answer to your second question because there is no clear-cut, definitive answer! You might want to search the board and find the numerous, lively discussions this issue has generated.

PS - Anyone who relies solely and completely on an internet discussion group for their tax advice (even the good one here on TMF) is not being prudent, IMO.
