It came today. It has information on all the candidates and ballot initiatives for my town, county, state and country. Here's an interesting tidbit:

Random Alphabet

Oregon statute (ORS 254.155) requires the Secretary of State to complete a random order of the letters of the alphabet to determine the order in which the names of candiates appear on the ballot.

The alphabet for the 2012 General Election is:

E, O, Y, S, I, N, W, D, K, A, P, H, F, J, T, M, B, L, V, R, X, U, Q, C, Z, G

Of course this puts Obama first and Romney fifth, after Jill Stein of the Pacific Green Party, Ross Anderson of the Progressive Party and Gary Johnson of the Libertarian Party. What a coincidence that this happens to align with the political orientation of the Secretary of State.
