Spent part of Christmas holidays in the Carolinas with a family that used to be my neighbors when I lived there five years ago. They had adopted a young Russian girl last summer (she's a doll) but the girl spoke NO ENGLISH when she came to the US. My friends have used a lot of creative ways to keep her immersed in activities that develop her language skill, and she now speaks English admirably.

My point: one of the children's videos that they shared with us was quite commical, very CC/LBYM oriented, as it dealt with a cartoon family that bought too much, loaded down their house so much it filled up and fell over! The name of their store: Stuff-Mart, where of course one goes to buy more "stuff" every week. This phrase now fills my house. (PS-we stopped going there a long time ago.)
