I want to share about a neighborhood bible study...In my former neighborhood (in Southern California) , which contained a lot of very loving people, my next door neighbor, who is a Baptist, decided to start a neighborhood bible study. She asked me, a Catholic, to attend, as well as others on our block. Our first meeting had about 15 Christian women of various faiths attending. Well, the study lasted well over 20 years and grew to about 30 women regularly attending, and in all the time, we never talked about each other's church. Rather we concentrated on the Lordship of Jesus and all that we had in common. Many miracles and blessings came from this group. We prayed continually that God would bless us and unify us, and that he did. We had illness, death, birth, etc. and all was made easier by these loving prayerful women who loved us even though we did not belong to their particular church. Personally, I think this is what Our Lord wants us to do, - love and not ask questions. If someone needs help, care for them as Jesus would. The only reason I left was because I moved quite a distance away, but I kept in touch with several of the women. I will truthfully say, I have not found another group as open and loving as these women. I think every once in a while God gives us a glimpse of what is to come...Kathy
