Wasn't Putnam in some trouble with the SEC recently? Might want to check into that. Vanguard, Dodge & Cox, and American Funds are good companies, so I would stick with their funds. It's a good idea to add some international exposure to your mix. Good luck!

Yes, there were some issues at Putnam that put them in the news awhile back. Partly for that reason, I steered away from their funds. Given my experience with Vanguard, that is why I initially went so heavily with them. While not having personal experience with Dodge & Cox, I have read numerous accounts of it being a great fund/company.

As I just mentioned in another response, I had no existing knowledge or opinion of American Funds so I was a little hesitant to go with them as well.

Thanks for the feedback!
