I'm sure all of you do review your statements, but on a shopping board I frequent, a number of people have had fraudulent charges from a Russian telecom company.

Please check your December activity and look for charges from a Global Telecom, Moscow,Russia....the amounts seem to range from $5 - $20 and seem to start around DEcember 14 or so. I discovered a charge on my only remaining credit card, and called to dispute/get a new card.

These charges may be related to a hack almost three months ago on a credit card processor called, or perhaps the more recent hack on Or perhaps an as yet undisclosed security breach. So far, to the best of my limited knowledge, the affected cards are Visa and MC.

At any rate, be on the alert. There have been a couple of news stories at if you want more info.

Best Holiday Wishes to all!
