We are settling today at 4pm EST. I am useless at work, I am leaving in 15 minutes, and I am a wreck. I will post more after the move (have to be out of apt by 7/22). Keep an eye open for invites to a big-ass pool party :)A little voice in the back of my head told me not to post this...but I didn't listen. Chris and I arrived at settlement, met the realtor and were all ready - closing costs in hand. The sellers came in late, with a not-too-happy look on their face. Five minutes before they left their house, they were served with papers from the Maryland Department of the Environment to get their soil tested. This is a known issue, we forced them to get their water tested, which they complied with...I could go into details, but I don't want to bore anyone. Basically, they refuse to get the soil tested, and even if they did, our lender wouldn't give a loan for a house with this controversy surrounding it.I am relieved that we didn't get the house now, because it appears the neighborhood may be involved with some sort of litigation. However, we only have our apt until 7/22. And I really REALLY loved that house :(Becky
