We found our lender by cross-referencing www.bankrate.com with the Fannie Mae website and went with someone on the Fannie Mae list. We haven't closed yet but the lender seems to be doing a good job, including finding us a loan product that best suited our needs.

I tried Lending Tree and did not like it for two big reasons: one they "prequalify" you by immediately pulling your credit scores which means up to four credit inquiries in short order resulting in a dip in your scores, and 2) the lenders that responded used "teasers" that looked good on paper but did not suit us so they were effectively worthless. YMMV but I can't recommend Lending Tree. Good luck!
