We grew up with a Ford station wagon - an early 70s Torino by father hated - was one of them plus a Country Squire, and a Mercury Comet.

We had a Country Squire. Huge boat of a vehicle. Mom drove it from the early 60s until she traded it for a '68 Firebird. She had some issues keeping the Firebird at or below the speed limit in town, so she traded that for a 1970 Pontiac Catalina convertible in Palamino Copper. It ended up being my first car in 1979. It blew the radiator in 1980 and I ended up with a sucession of crappy cars for about a decade:

1978 Corvette
1979 Buick Skylark
1977 Volkswagon Rabbit
1984 Ford Tempo

then upgraded at bit in the 90s

1991 Corsica (actually loved this car, but it ate alternators like candy)
1999 Ford Explorer Sport

During the time of the Skylark and Rabbit, I married DH and we brought him a brand new 1983 Ford F150 single cab. Loved that truck! Had kids and exchanged the F150 for a Dodge Dakota extended cab. Then we bought DHs dad's 1990 GMC Sierra pickup.

The 2000s saw us with the Explorer and DH's dad sold us a 2002 Nissan Frontier(named Slagathor) that became DD2s first truck. She wrecked it and got a 2004 Mazda Tribute(named Sasha). It was taken out by a deer last fall and she now has a 1996 Jeep Wrangler(Matthew McConajeep). DH picked up a 1995 Pathfinder and recently gave it to DD#1 and her family.

And of course, I now have Stella, my 2007 Mustang convertible. Definitely moved up with that one.
