We just financed our new car because my wife wanted the cash in the bank. In fact, we paid 0.2% higher APR to go from 36 months to 60 months, with the intent of paying off the loan in 36 months, but with added flexibility.

I'll be changing jobs early next year, and right now she is nervous as hell. Hard to fault her logic.
