We stopped in at the new Walmart tonight. We didn't buy anything -- it was a scouting expedition. DW reports good prices and the selection seems to match Safeway. Given WM's lower labor costs (non-union), I see them winning. Plus, WM's pharmacy is part of some Part D plans.

Then we went to DSW to get me some new slippers and to Whole Foods because Monday is cheap rotisserie cooked chicken day (not injected with corn syrup and other flavor enhancers like other rotisserie chicken) and when it comes to cheap chicken, there is nobody cheaper than we. When we got home we consumed the dark meat and loved every morsel of it.
