We watch Dancing With The Stars, but we TiVo it and start watching 30-45 minutes after it starts so we can fast-forward through all the parts where Samantha Harris talks, yet still finish watching the show before the voting cut-off.

DWTS has the most filler content of any reality competition I've watched... maybe American Idol is about the same, but I don't watch it. Each dance routine is 90 seconds, so if you've got, let's say 8 couples still in the competition in a 90 minute mid-season show, you're looking at a total of 12 minutes of actual dancing, maybe 12 minutes of judges comments and scoring, 35 minutes of commercials, and that leaves 31 minutes of filler: mostly back stage interviews and pre-taped bits. I guess that's the problem with doing live TV.
