we went to ireland last june. it was great.
dublin is very interesting and the author's tour is good.
eating in pubs is much cheaper than a good resteraunt, a carver is a pub with a buffet where they carve the meat. do not eat the beef (as a roast) it is dry and leathery.
the b&b's give you a great breakfast and should get you through to dinner.
cobh is beside cork and has a great walking tour, nice resteraunts and very safe. this is where the titantic left for america.
kilkenny is very nice and try to get out in the country as the views are nice.
always ask the locals where to eat, they know better than the people in the b&b's (they recomend their friends)
it's all euros in southern ireland.
cliffs of mohr are spectular and the lack of safety fences are interesting compared to what you will see here.
have a great time.
